That’s way too grandiose and far-fetched. It’s much more likely the Big 12 dissolves after their current TV contracts expire and the best teams get absorbed into the ACC, SEC, P12, and B10. The result will be four conferences with 16 members.
I agree. There is a lot more loyalty between PAC-10 schools than Big 12 schools. That means Utah and Colorado would be fighting for a spot in the new conference and those two schools are more valuable than any Big 12 school not named Texas or Oklahoma.
The new conference would be PAC-12, Oklahoma and Texas and maybe two more Big 12 schools (most likely Ok St and a Texas school or Kansas).
