Oh yes, Cam Rising is like Bigfoot, everyone talks about him but no one has actually seen him.

Going to college classes while currently making a million dollars must be weird.

Why is he going to classes? Is he working on his doctorate? I mean, he’s a professional college student by now. Plus, rumor is that he’s making $2M. He probably has to travel around campus with a personal assistant and bodyguard.

At this point Cam went from hero to zero. My hope is after being called out, he rallies this team to a championship and playoff bid. Everything we need is there .. just need him to come back and the coaching staff to pull their heads out and actually want what they say they want.. I want see creativity on offense, cause the BS were seeing, teams know about and it’s predictable. Defense has to actually get some pressure.. CB safeties, LB need to step up as well .. offensive line needs to start getting it together .. I’m glad we lost , maybe we won’t be so arrogant, thinking we got this and actually go out and step on some throats like we’re capable of doing .. the want, hunger and intensity needs to be there. We play like we’re sleep walking out there, it’s time to wake up and shut us fans up for once

Is it just me or is everyone on this board placing the blame of Saturday’s loss on Cam not playing? If so, I find that absolutely insane. We lost the game because we made horrible offensive decisions in the red zone with a true freshman QB AND made few adjustments to our vaunted run defense when U of A was able to gash the crap out of them fairly consistently.
One thing I noticed is how we would get some consecutive successes running the ball and then Ludwig would call a pass play that failed which put us in 2nd or 3rd and long many times. We had no rhythm on offense because Andy wouldn’t let it happen with his play calling. Micah averaged almost 6 yards per carry yet he only had 16 carries. He had 25 carries the previous week!
Had we kicked the FGs when we had them, easy ones at that, we would have tied the damn game with our TD in the fourth quarter! Then it is anyone’s game. You HAVE to do that with a true freshman at QB but our arrogance got the best of us.
The other thing I noticed is that we were in man coverage quite often but we barely touched Fifita. If you are in man, and you are NOT getting to the QB, you are usually getting killed down field. The entire defensive scheme sucked and it seemed like we never really got out of it. The rather large holes Arizona ran through, mostly on the left side of their O-Line, were ridiculous. There were several plays where you could have driven a semi truck through the hole and there was rarely a linebacker that came in to fill.
Do not lay this one on Cam. This one was all coaching.

I don’t think people are blaming Cam. What people are frustrated with is the “he’s almost ready” talk. It’s been 2 years of it. If he can’t play then Wilson should be getting the snaps in practice and the backup should be getting the rest.
Utah was thoroughly outcoached against AZ and it’s pretty embarrassing. They had a home game at night with the crowd rocking and then just puke all over the field. The defensive schemes were bad and Utah didn’t slow the pass game down until they quit having Vaughn shadow McMillan. They never slowed down the run game.
The offense was a mess and I still don’t want to talk about it.

I never blame Cam for anything. At the end of the day, he’s an employee, not an exec. This game, and the situation last year, is all on the main man himself, Coach Whitt. Even he has off days. I lost count of the number of blitzes that Arizona laid on Isaac, they were that predictable. And yet, it was like playing against the Tampa Bay Bucs on Tecmo Bowl when you knew that whatever defense you threw at them, they couldn’t hurt you. Just a total lack of adjustments up and down the line…if a team blitzes you so often, you have to make them pay.

I could have sworn I saw a Cam Rising here on the east coast today, it was a member of the clean-shaven sub-species that also appears to be slightly slimmer. though. It had the sweater, the baseball-style hat, and the long dark hair, but no visible mustache.
It was out in a grassy field near my home, doing what Cam Risings do best, standing around smiling with no apparent purpose. I had no idea that Cam Risings existed this far east.

The Miami UteParticipant
Did you see if he was carrying a clipboard? That’s usually a telltale sign.
-
chinngiskhaanParticipant
No clipboard, and this one had what appeared to be 10 fully healthy fingers. I’m beginning to doubt whether it was a Cam Rising or maybe it was the Cam Rising’s cousin, the stay-at-home dad.

His right hand might be obscured by a log or something I can’t see the brace.

snorkerelliParticipant
You all can’t be right. I see him working in a Thai restaurant here in Missoula Montana quite often. I think he’s invested his NIL money and simply works a 9-5 for health insurance.
