ParticipantOnce in a while I read cougarboard to get any additional information on portal, recruiting etc. Krindorr always has great posts backed by statistics. He posts on Ute hub occasionally and is a great addition to our site. He is a self proclaimed BYU fan but also follows the Utes as his dad is a fan.
He posted on cougarboard about tight end usage from the schools recruiting the kid from St George. It was a solid post with the number of passes thrown to TE from the competing schools recruiting him. The BYU fans took offense and have been calling him a Ute fan. I think I speak for all of us on Ute hub that his posts are informative and statistic driven and I for one enjoy his thoughts. Keep posting Krindorr you are always welcome here. You don’t deserve the wrath put on you by your own fans.

ParticipantThanks for this. Would love it if you posted any links to his posts.

ParticipantIt’s always mystifying to me when a talented TE commits to tds….Outside the Covid season, Arod has never featured the position.

ParticipantWhile i rarely visit Cougarboard, from what I’ve seen Krindorr has some of the best posts on college football stats.
It’s rare when a fan can take such an objective look at something and report what the facts say, not what is desired that they say.
Contrary to that byu fan dentist or ophthalmologist (or whatever) from Alabama on the X platform that posts stats all the time favorable to byu but leaves out details, facts and relevant information. Thus the conclusions are questionable at best, or wrong at worst.

ParticipantUgh. I just read two separate threads over there. Many posts attacking Krindorr.
By the way – a few posts over there don’t take kindly to Krindorr’s comment that generally Utah fans have made him feel more welcome. They respond that we Ute fans didn’t know krindoor is a BYU fan. We’ll, I’ll respond by saying I’ve known for several years now that krindoor is a BYU fan that also likes Utah. I just thought that was common knowledge.
And I welcome any posts that are backed by facts or stats that show the reality about Utah – positive or negative.
How on earth krindorr’s posts that show that BYU hasn’t used the TE position as much as other teams offering Harris can be received with vitriol and anger is beyond my ability to understand. I mean facts are facts.

ParticipantThanks all, appreciate it. Not going to lie, I’m hurting a bit right now.
That’s always felt like home and been where I primarily post, with occasional excursions here or to the Utah 247 site.
Being completely rejected and shunned there with heavy-handed religious references (from a faith I share) for the fact that I also like Utah…well I imagine I won’t be as active there anymore. I hope I’m still welcome here. I appreciate the support

ParticipantMany of us are Utah fans for those very reasons Krindor. The implication that not attending/cheering for TSPP somehow made me unworthy is why I am a Ute fan. I know most TSPP fans aren’t like that, but there are enough of them that it drove me away.

ParticipantKrindor you have always been honest and respectful on this site. I for one enjoy your posts and the insights you bring for both programs.

ParticipantAlso greatly enjoy your posts Krindorr, and I hope you keep on posting.
Although a U fan, I went to the Y for undergraduate school and am very familiar with the tension that comes from having ties to both schools. In defense of the cougar fans, many are ignorant blowhards who don’t understand the games their team plays. From their ignorance they lash out at anything they don’t understand. So don’t let them get to you too much.

ParticipantI frequent said board too, I don’t comment much. While there are a lot of great Cougar fans, that place is kind of the epitome of everything people hate about the BYU fan base. Full of delusion. And not everything there is bad or delusional, but enough that it’s annoying.

ParticipantYou are always welcome here. I have always enjoyed your posts because they are honest and based on facts. Sometimes, this may make BYU look better than Utah, but that’s okay.
Previously, I would go to CB fairly often. Now, I do not go there. Some on that board are so full of hate that it just makes you feel dirty. I have said it before, and I will say it again: I know many good and gracious BYU fans, including family. 70% of that CB crowd does not represent the school or the religion. No one who promotes that much hate can be Christian, IMO.
I find it interesting that all of the BYU fans that I know – do not read or post on CB. Some of them know about it but cannot stand what they read there, so they do not go there.

ParticipantTo clarify, I’ll say that most of the folks there are pretty solid good people, and I’ve received a lot of support from them as well. There’s just a relatively small portion that absolutely, unequivocally suck – but that’s something we should unfortunately well understand with the small portion of our fanbase that enjoys being toxic on Twitter.
I’d hate to judge any fanbase on their worst, especially since there’s realistically a lot of demographic overlap between BYU and Utah fans. Super thankful for all the support here and will definitely try to share more here (the preview and editor modes make it easier to share more detailed stuff there unfortunately), but also don’t want to be responsible for creating a bad impression of either fanbase with the other.

ParticipantYea I posted this on 247 as well but I was shocked to see the number of TDS fans on ClownBoard going after one of their own with Krindorr. He’s been on there forever and always consistent about his posting and connection to both schools. Although I found it strange when I first came across Krindorr and realized he was a BYU fan, once I saw one of his posts that explained why he has the dual fandom it all made sense. His data driven posts are fantastic and much appreciated. And whether he’s a bigger fan of the blue or not, there’s no doubt he’s a great guy. And it’s disgusting to see anyone get treated the way he has.
Krindorr, you’re always valued and welcome on any Utah fan site and thanks for all you contribute to the Utah family!
