      Wish him the best!

      Just announced on X.

Damn. I had such high hopes for Sione and Nate Ritchie. Neither have been able to do much after coming back from their missions. With Hall getting a bigger role as the season went on, and it sounds like Damuni will be coming back, playing time was getting scarce at LB.

Not good. I expected a number of guys to leave. I hoped he was not one of them.

I feel like I heard about this one a while ago… sad but not surprised, wish him the best.

Lyons, Pittman and Glover were the only ones I heard about during the season

This one is a downer, but it’ll be hard to keep all the guys you want to keep. It seems like the most important ones have been staying. It’s not like Fotu was incredible for us.

If you remember, he almost left the last off-season, but then withdrew his name after a couple of other LBs xfering.

But yeah, due to his family name, I had high hips for him for sure.

Could be he did not want to play behind Damuni and Barton, two very good LBs. I am assuming Damuni gets a medical year.

Yes on Damuni maybe returning, along with Kenan Johnson. Here is blurb on it I lifted from SI:

“During Monday’s press conference, Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham shared significant news about two key players, linebacker Levani Damuni and cornerback Kenan Johnson. Both have expressed their intention to return next season, a development that brings excitement and promise to the program.”

The other half of that quote is summarized as the following “that was a few weeks back, so I need to talk to them again and see how they are currently feeling”…

Things change quickly, so I hope they are still wanting to be on the Utes. They are needed.
