The uniqueness of having to play an EVEN bigger game after an assumed win. I feel like this Championship game has all the makings of the biggest game in University history. This potentially could steer the program for the next 5-10 years. Bigger than Sugar Bowl type win!
I understand the argument, but the Sugar Bowl and Fiesta Bowls still seem like bigger games and bigger wins for the program. They were what largely propelled us into realistic P12 consideration (for when the other market place factors came together). I think a Rose Bowl win would be up there with the Sugar, but I think we make too much of the biggest game ever stuff.
Utah isn’t going to be heavily favored for the P12 ship game. I also didn’t see Utah winning a P12 title this soon honestly. Going to a title game was certainly a possibility that Utah blew before. This game is huge, going to the Rose bowl is massive and the potential opponent is up there with Bama IMO. It sets up 2019 for so much hype and the potential to go with it.
