I think the biggest indicator of them caring is the huge advantage in rebounding we’ve had the last two games. Rebounds are a simple stat, but they win games for you. They are also an indication of effort.
As down as I was on this team before I watched them, I am actually really enjoying watching them so far.
GONE are the days of the Krystko offense where we pass the ball around the perimeter, pass up several open shots, then pass to the shortest guy on the team (who is being double teamed) so he can jack up an NBA range three with no time left on the shot clock. We move the ball, and the open guy shoots it. That is how basketball should be played.
HOPEFULLY this is an actual trend, and not just because we played a couple of bad teams. ACU was not a bad team, but they were undersized. Lets see what happens when we play Boston College.
I actually think we have a decent shot at beating BYU in SLC this year.
