Josh Nurse activated to 53-man roster. Does this mean that all 9 of the Utes’ defenders that left last year have made an active NFL roster?

      https://www.jaguars.com/team/players-roster/josh-nurse/

“Nurse, 6-3, 200, originally signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in April. He played collegiately at Utah, appearing in 40 games after first joining the Utes as a walk-on. Prior to playing at Utah, Nurse also attended Blinn College in 2016 and Georgia Military College in 2015.”

an entire secondary full of NFL talent, an NFL linebacker, a few NFL defensive linemen…. an NFL QB, and RB……..

      …..

…… Awful pass blocking ruined our best team ever. What a sad sad sad joke. Why does Harding have a job still?

Meanwhile, BYU’s offensive line is making their entire offense look like a top 10 team. The same offense, MINUS an NFL running back, that managed 12 points against the Utes last year.

We really should be throwing every dollar possible at Mateos this offseason if we don’t have perfect pass protection this year.

Not really.  The indy-WACers O-Line is NOT making them look like a Top-10 team.  What’s making them look good iare those weak SOS, powderpuff, intramural, ultimate frisbee teams they’re lining up against.  It’s their OPPONENTS who are making them look dominant.  Not their O-Line.

BYU’s offensive line against one of the worst schedules in the country doesnt hold up in comparison to Utahs schedule last year. Run blocking is also part of the game and you don’t put a bunch of O- Lineman and running backs into the NFL if you don’t know what you’re doing coaching them.

Yes, run blocking is part of the game, apparently the only part that Harding is aware of.

pass blocking was non existent against the only two good teams we played last year.

also, having the best YAC running back in the country really made our OL look better than it was.

Not entirely true. A lot of guys make it into the NFL based mostly on their raw athleticism, strength, speed, and size.
