Not trying to dissaude any fans from attending, but hoping y’all will be prepared…
Weather driving SLC to San Jose looks pretty good; there is a system going through in the next 2 days that will mainly hit the Southern Sierras and then come into Utah, heaviest amounts Central and South — Brian Head should be the big winner in-State. The next system won’t come onshore until late Friday late afternoon to evening, giving drivers a good window to cross Donner Pass Thursday-Friday. Recent guidance has been a bit slower with the next system, but it seems sure to affect the game; if its just starting Friday evening it might be lighter, more showery before steady downpours begin — score early and often. If you’re driving back to Utah sfter the game be prepared with chains and/or 4WD (or barbeque sauce for your traveling buddies) as the Sierras near Truckee are likely to pick up 2-3 feet of snow from Friday night to late Sunday afternoon.
