Screw Captain Adventure. I could care less about the guy to whom we gave a pity job.

Goodness, Gary has been in and out at Utah but has made everything he has touched at Utah much, much better. Hope you did not miss notice of the great improvement in the DL. Who knows what his future may be at Utah or at USU but currently he has a golden touch for us now. We were about to see how he can help with recruiting, in the past he has been very good.
I don’t fault Gary’s efforts and path to best take care of his family. Happy to benefit from his help when it is available. 100% of the knowledgeable folks close to the program have been delighted to have him onboard this year. If he goes to USU they will get better still. At Utah, he will be missed.

He is not the only person in the world of football that could do a good job in the position. There are plenty of folks out there who would be as successful without the concern of jumping ship whenever an opportunity arises.

DC to mid major HC, to P5 HC is a path any successful person in football would hope to take and a few get to take. Midwest school to return to the west coast is completely understandable for someone from the west and expected by those familiar with the shortcomings of the Wisky AD. What went wrong at Oregon State is unknown to me, could be his fault, could be bad circumstance. Either way, he seemed to leave in a very beneficial way for OSU and without the dickish behavior that is so common. You and I will not be given an opportunity to make decisions at this level or know the details so it may be difficult to judge. For now, I will just be grateful for the difference he made developing the best representation of conference honors for DL in the history of the pac 12. As it relates to developing DL I would say there are very few like him, could you suggest an upgrade choice? As a HC, USU could not do better.

For a scond time, he’s leaving Utah for a less prominent program. There are many, many excellent DCs out there. Put the money on the table and the CVs will come in. I wish him luck, but f**k him for leaving us.

Huh? A DL coach taking a HC job is a step down? Especially when his pay will go from <$500,000 to close to 2 million?

              Ok.

He needs to retire there now — If he looks here again to bad the bridge is burned!
