So I heard briefly on the radio today that Dr. Hill mentioned that his goal was to raise $20M of the $25M needed for the stadium “renovation.”  The talking heads noted that he used the word “renovation” and not “expansion.”  Also $25M seems on the very low end for an expansion.

Anyone who watched the press conference or has inside info care to comment?  Did they decide to do just a limited renovation to address the terribly dated locker rooms and facilities and forego an expansion to fill the south end?

From what I understand is it will be around 50 million. 25 from donors/UofU. 25 from Utah State Legislature. So, Hill will get the 20-25 together then ask for the rest.

Thanks. Will that be to fill in the South Endzone or just renovate?

My responses to the survey likely weren’t very encouraging, in that I didn’t want to pay more for my seats to be able to eat food at a table in the South Endzone. So, I hope I didn’t ruin their plans. 🙂 I like my seats.

I just heard a replay of the interview with Dr. Hill by Bill Riley. Dr. Hill stated that that plans for the stadium were still being decided and avoided the question on the nature of the renovation. So, I guess still being decided.

The expansion will be low 50’s.

How many strings (in terms of scheduling, etc) will come attached to that $25M from the state?

How about we raise all the funds without the religiouslature, and not have to answer to them.  I know that won’t happen, but one can dream.
