      Is NIU’s field natural turf?  Will it be a mudder?

      According to Wikipedia, Huskie Stadium

      Surface FieldTurf (2001–present)
      AstroTurf (1969–2000)
      Natural grass (1965–1968)

      So the field should hold up fairly well.

      Field turf with a decent amount of sand underneath to help water filter thru.
