Watching the SEC champion go down to Notre Dame doesn’t hurt my feelings one bit. Apparently Georgia didn’t put enough NIL and/or practice time into their second string QB during the season. Frankly he looks a bit lost when ND sends pressure, which is frequently. 3 min left and Notre Dame is running the clock out, up 23 – 10.

The 4 top seeds all lost.

Curious to see how this fact makes people view the first round byes. Obviously everyone thought Boise state and asu would lose but the fact that both Georgia and Oregon lost is gonna make teams question whether it’s worth trying to get a first round bye.

I don’t think so. The better teams won. Boise St and ASU should not have been given a bye. But Ohio St is better than Oregon and Oregon only beat OSU on a technicality that they already fixed. And Georgia had a backup QB in…which is a huge f**k you to FSU. lol.

Georgia wasn’t a top 4 team with that QB either.

What this will do is they will make a rule this spring/summer that the top 4 conference champs get in…but not get auto-byes. They will make Boise St and ASU play in round one and Texas and Penn St would have gotten the byes.

Not just that but the ASU coach and Big 12 Commish ran their mouth about the officiating in public. If I were Harmon, I’d be contacting legal about getting some cash back with interest. Right or wrong but what is good for the goose should be good for the gander and work both ways.

So let me get this straight. Harlan gets reprimanded and fined by the league for angrily commenting on officiating after the Holy War but OK for the commissioner to do the same?

Yormark’s a crybaby. Sankey’s a crybaby. The commissioner just whine about their own conferences and it’s not like they’re going to fine themselves.

While I have a soft spot for Oregon and don’t particularly like Ohio State, watching them get ass blasted after getting unlimited NIL funds from Grandpa Phil was gratifying. Being the poster child for the NIL era has it’s negatives.

First time I’ve ever heard an Utah fan say that he/she has a soft spot for Oregon. If it wasn’t for Knight’s financial doping, the Ducks would be in Oregon State’s place as the second tier program in the state and probably behind Utah as far as ability to recruit athletes. Academically, they’re a mediocre institution and well behind Oregon State. The funny thing is that Oregon State has an alumnus, Jensen Huang, that makes Phil Knight look like one of those people you see pushing a shopping cart around downtown Salt Lake City. Huang, the founder, president, and CEO of NVDIA, has a net worth of almost $120B. He does donate to Oregon State and in a big way, but not to the athletic department.
