What a great problem to have, there is some much activity and content I discovered a new personal problem.
I usually use the “Recent Posts” format. I love the “new” box but now when I open Utehub there are three pages of “new.” When I get to page two, click on a thread I want to go back to page two when I’m done. If I hit my browser back button the new box remains on the thread as if I’ve never opened it. I have to go back to the front page the hit the little page “2” in order to get back to where I left off.
Is there a way to add a “return to page 2” button, or have the page numbers at the top of the thread so I can go back to page 2 or any other page?
Thanks!

Yeah when you use the back button on your browser it isn’t reloading the page, so the page will be in whatever state it was when you left it. That “NEW” button is a very simple add-on which is very limited and not very smart. Probably not a lot I can do about that one.
I tried your workflow and reproduced it. BUT once you go back you can hit reload on the page and the new indicator will go away for that post just read.

Yup, it works, “new” went away, thanks. I still want a page button within the thread. Is it possible? If so, is it a pain in the ass? If it is possible, I know it’s so minute that’s it’s something that maybe you can add in February when looking for something to do.
Isn’t success wonderful!
Here’s something else you may not be aware of that might impact this site in a good way. On September 1st Utezone (pay site) up and switched from Rivals to Scout without any warning. Kind of p**sed me off as well as some others. It took me a couple of hours to figure out what the hell happened and I had to sign up for Scout to get in. This was something I didn’t want to deal with on game day. The Rivals site was still there but under the domain Utenation.com, which also took me a few hours to figure out. So now things are kind of splintered as to which site people are going to settle on. Each site costs about a 100 bucks a year so it’s kind of hard to justify both but neither one is really ringing my chime. I spend all my time here anyway. These two sites are pretty much where all the old UFN posters migrated to over the years and I can’t help to think that most of us are trying to figure out which one to stick with or bag the whole thing altogether.

I’m so deep into this site that other than posting Pick Em updates on UFN I didn’t even know there were other Ute sites… LOL. Thanks for the info. Never been to those sites.

I’m nut sure what you mean by wanting a page button within the thread.

Now that you’re looking at this page, look at the top and bottom of the screen and imagine a “page 1 2 3 4 5 6” … where you can click on the number and go right to that page from here.

HMM. If you are reading a topic, there are no pages to go to or from, unless the replies exceed 10 or something. The system doesn’t know what page you would be referring to, I think.

I’m still retraining my thumbs. To get rid of the NEW tag, I just select the recent posts link at the top. @Tony I’m not complaining rather I’m throwing out feedback so others can see they aren’t alone in learning the format and quirks here.
