I can’t blame the outcome on the refs.  But there were some total turd calls out there.  Lavin said it…come February, no one will want play us.

Oregon is damned good, maybe the best team in the conference.  They are so athletic.  Lots of natural ability and a ton of well developed talent.

We do need to toughen up, and get more physical.  I thought we played tentative.  A bit more focus and determination from the outset, and look the hell out Pac-12.

We did play tentative for most of the second half, yet if Collette’s layup doesn’t bounce out it’s a two point game with 45 seconds left, and if Van Dyke hits a wide open three it’s a one point game with 30 seconds left.

Against a team as good as Oregon with shot blockers like theirs, we can’t burn 25 seconds of the shot clock doing nothing.  We need to move the defense for 25 seconds and hope for an opening.  But all in all, Oregon is hands down the best team in the conference, AZ is clearly 2nd, but we could easily be 3rd.  Oregon has Boucher coming off the bench and we have Jayce, nuff said.

as an oregon fan I’ll let you know right now, Utah has been the toughest game oregon has played so far this year.when oregon went on the run to go up 13, most teams would have caved, and thats pretty much how oregon had been playing all season. Oregon started to torch utah in transition. utah made some adjustments and thats when oregon went 3 or so minutes without a bucket which got utah right back into it. Most teams oregon has played so far didnt know how to make those adjustments.

Even against UCLA, oregon was up by as much as 15 at one point. Oregon then went 5 minutes without scoring, but unlike utah, i didnt feel like UCLA did anything to slow oregon down, oregon just started missing wide open lay ins and shots where as utah forced oregon into making bad decisions.

IMO, Utah is at least an 11 seed on paper because of their terrible OOC schedule, but talent wise, they are good enough for a 5 or 6 seed. Utah is way more versatile this season compared to d. wright and poeltl days… way too one dimensional IMO.

Well said, and agree on all points, except I think we are better than an 11 on paper.  I think we will be 8 or 9 seed.  Granted we don’t have a marquee win, but we do have a lot of close losses to top 25 teams. Largest margin of defeat was 10 pts at AZ, and they will take into account the personnel we did not have when we played Xavier and Butler (and hopefully throw out SF which was an anomoly).  They will look at that and conclude that there are not 32 teams that are better than the Utes this year.  IMO

I look forward to Brooks, Ellis, Boucher, Bell, Benson, and hopefully a couple other JR players leaving after this year.
