“The 10 Pac-12 universities look forward to consummating successful media rights deal(s) in the very near future. Based upon positive conversations with multiple potential media rights partners over the past weeks, we remain highly confident in our future growth and success as a conference and united in our commitment to one another.”
I think the blue bloods are aiming for a semi professional league. It isn’t quite NFL but they want exclusivity to return to the ranks of college football. Super conferences is the future with the way kids are being paid. Big 10 is the obvious conclusion. I also am not ignoring all of the problems with that. Which seem to be the problem on both ends. It seems very odd that the P12 hasn’t been offered a lucrative enough deal to proceed. They obviously want to shove the p12 after dark schedule down our throats. It isn’t ideal. P10 is definitely on the weak side of negations. The talk of who they plan to add doesn’t impress either.
Seems like such a useless thing to say. What positive things are accomplished by such a statement? If there is a deal to be made just make it, no reason to say there is going to be a deal unless you aren’t actually certain there will be one.
