What football world are we living in where both Army and Navy are in the the top 25 (UNLV was) – and TDS is undefeated 7 games in. Crazy football times these days! Twilight Zone?

It’s what makes college football fun! More chaos will happen before the end of the season.

They So Poo Poo U won 5 games last year and ended season on a 5 game losing streak. Bring back the exact same team and are on the cusp of being top 10. It’s why college football is sacred to America. Anything can happen.

It’s also why trying to project improvement across the board for your own team while assuming that everyone else will repeat the previous year is a fool’s errand. No one really knows who is going to improve or regress until the games are actually played.

Enjoy that giant pile of SEC $$$, Oklahoma!

Florida State 1-6!!!
-
The Miami UteParticipant
It’s not only that they’re 1-6, but they’re a bad 1-6. They’ve looked like trash in almost every one of their games. FSU picked a horrible time to give Mike Norvell a massive EIGHT YEAR extension at ~$10M per season during this offseason. That makes for an eye-watering buyout.

Every year at least one preseason top 10 team finishes unranked. Florida State is taking it to new levels though. Can we make a pact that Utah is never higher than 15 preseason? A couple of losses are acceptable from that position but at least you can also get forward momentum.
Oh, and add Tyler Shough to list of QB’s available in the portal the last two years that Utah wouldn’t consider: today threw for 342 yards and 4 scores against #6 in the country.

Florida St is a cautionary tale of what happens when people give up.

we are very not that far off what did we start 12/13?

USC and Oklahoma are the new Nebraskas. They better start overpaying recruits, but even that might not help. I know for sure that Riley’s honeymoon period at USC is over.
-
2008 National ChampParticipant
If they kept Helton 5 years past his expiration date because they couldn’t afford the buyout, Riley ain’t going nowhere he don’t wanna. SC is still paying for all those scandals
-
The Miami UteParticipant
The problem is that if USC doesn’t start winning ASAP. pretty soon they’ll have crowds around 10K at the Coliseum. That’s the problem when you’re a program in a huge city with great weather. You’re not the only Coca-Cola in the desert and people will just tune you out.

And SC steals defeat from the jaws of victory once again. When will people start to realize that urinalists and their hive mind preseason polls aren’t any smarter than the rest of us?
Meanwhile Baylor curbstomps Texas Tech to help Utah out.
