I’ve seen dozens of complaints on social media by BYU fans that Utah pipes in fake crowd noise. Also complaints about how it disrupted BYU’s offense as they got ready for the play.
Nothing different was done in the game that isn’t done every game.
And yet it’s funny how we never hear complaints from other fanbases. Never.
BYU fans manufacture outrage on anything Utes-related and then get their online army to spread it to the whole world.
Which is why I don’t believe their claims about bad Ute behavior.

They love to villainize Utah and the fans. It’s their favorite play in the rivalry playbook. It perpetuates the self righteousness. They don’t do this same bulls**t against any other University or fanbase in the country. I’ve been to away games and heard the most awful things and even about Mormons because we are a team from Utah. You can’t convince me that BYU fan’s experiences are all cupcake and rainbows against other teams, but yet it is a scene out of Saving Private Ryan every time they play Utah. This is all part of their propaganda machine to make Utah fans look as bad as they can. They are hypocritical a-holes and is why I can’t stand any of them. They want to look nice by handing out hot chocolate to away fans but then do everything they can to destroy the image of Utah fans.

The byu fan base moto to Utah sports. The ends justify the means”. (Machiavelli) They will lie, cheat and steal to try and devalue Utah sports. They also claim to be Christian.

I’m so tired of the phrase “the most awful things…about Mormons…”
If it’s true, and you think it’s awful, then that’s a you problem. And that’s my issue with that group. It’s a bad group that does bad things and when you call them out for it, they get mad at you instead of looking in the mirror and changing.
And watch, after I post this the defenders will come out to prove me right…

Just to clarify, what is ‘that group’, ‘bad group that does bad things’?
– Mormons
– Believers of the religion
– BYU fans which mostly profess to be one of the above (‘byu fan base’ mentioned in Kellso post)-

It surely isn’t Mormons as a group. I would venture that the majority of Ute fans here are devout Mormons or have some connection to the LDS Church but they don’t engage in the shenanigans that the BYU fanbase does.

Just when I thought I had heard it all.

I will tell you this…after Saturday’s game, I’ve been perusing several Big 12 YouTube channels (Baylor, K State, Locked on Big 12, etc..) that focused on the aftermath of the Holy War and, well, let me just call it what it is, I was shocked at the number of BYU fans on those channels who, instead of talking about their own team, all they did was talk about Utah, and how they know Utah, and what to expect from Utah. Again, I’m almost 60 years old, been watching football for 50+ plus years, engaged in heated rivalries with Notre Dame, FSU, Gators, etc…and have never seen that level of pettiness, unscrupulousness, and just plain bare-faced lying from an opponent’s fans base. There’s a very good reason why a large number of Utah fans want absolutely nothing to do with the TDS and it’s proven daily.

I left all the BIg12 online groups back in September and have never looked back as they weren’t much better than CB. Way too much of a BYU representation and many of them seem to want Utah to be the most hated team in the conference. I’ve noted here before that with all the ‘beer’ stories, the biggest disappointment some fans may have when visiting Rice-Eccles is they can’t buy a cold pint on tap in the stadium to quench their thirst.
Have a pretty good idea what those boards are like now after the last few days.

What’s funny about this is that visiting fans can’t get alcohol, and yet BYU fans are telling them in advance that Ute fans will throw beer on them!
