Fire your OC every two years and bring in a proven OC to get his proven QB from a top ranked offense, but lesser football program. Also, bring in new coaches with their RB’s, etc.
I know this sounds simple and gimicky, but hey, it could work.
Larry K hired his recruits’ father(s) to be his assistant coaches. (Thus insuring they sign at Utah.) It got him the athlete(s) but creates additions headaches.
I see your point. However, the difference is proven OC’s and proven QB’s that have already competed in the college landscape and performed in top ranked offenses. Not daddy’s and their unproven HS boys.
Hell given the landscape of college football now, if we are winning a lot then there might not be a choice in this. Our OC and proven QB might bounce every year if we can look good enough.
I see the merit in this. Take advantage of the broken system and use it to your advantage. Seems like having more continuity in OL would be the main caveat to the system.
