      With so many P5 teams opting out of bowls, the G5 teams are dominating the bowls that are left of course except the NY6 bowls.

      By my count, there are 11 bowls that feature two G5s; 14 bowls that feature two P5s; and three bowls that feature one of each (S. Carolina v. UAB, Tulsa v. Mississippi St. and Cincinnati v. Georgia).

      The trend toward having P5s play only each other and G5s play only each other in bowl games has been growing for years.

        I guess Tennessee just backed out of a bowl, so West Virginia will play Army instead.  So that’s one less P5-P5 matchup and one more P5-G5 matchup.

          Not sure Army plays either.
