This is my “subjective” list of Utah’s top five QBs in history.
      1. Alex Smith (1st picked in the NFL draft – need I say more?)
      2. Scott Mitchell (Set a record for 619 passing yards against AFA. He had great stats but the Utes had no defense.)
      3. Brian Johnson (Led us to an undefeated season. Has the most wins of any starting QB in Utah history)
      4. Cam Rising (Led us to two Rose Bowls. Depending on this season – he may go up on my list.)
      5. Tyler Huntley (Led us to two PAC12 championship games. His senior season stats were amazing. He could be as high as the number 3 QB IMO.)
Honorable mentions: Mike McCoy, Lee Grosscup.

I would tend to agree.  Even with the order.  If you are doing top 10 then you would need to add Travis Wilson somewhere in the 7-10 area.

Weddle #6. John Hays #7. Kid from Milford #8. Brian Johnson if he never tore his leg up could have been top 5.

That guy was a stud. Loved the game in Provo when he took it to the cougars

I agree with you on Rat.  Wish he played more than one year.  He had one of the best arms of any Utah QB.

Larry Egger and Randy Gomez (that 23-22 win over the Cougs in ’78 was epic).

Lee Grosscup should be in this somewhere

I agree, shovel pass, baby. And, to be fair, @proudute does list Grosscup in his Honorable Mentions section.
