ParticipantIf you punch that ticket to a Rose Bowl I think it means a good chance Huntley may be ready. Do you give him back the keys after Shelley gave you four solid wins to get you there?
My answer is you make it seem like you will play Huntley to make your opponent scheme for both but Shelley is your number one.

Participantbut do you really prepare differenty for huntly than shelley? im not sure. huntley is definetly more mobile, but the game plan is essentially the same, no?

ParticipantI think you defend the read more. Huntley runs that bunch formation to perfection and can go under center. I think TT is showing us what he wants to do with Shelley as offensive philosophy. Shelley goes up into the pocket more. I think it adds wrinkles if anything it is just more film for the bowl opponent to go over.

ParticipantMy guess is that Shelley can run too, but not allowed. If he plays in the last game (bowl), and you do announce huntley as the starter, Shelley just goes bonkers. Him sitting in the pocket could just be precautionary reasons.

ParticipantHuntley was averaging 40+ his last 4 games. Shelley is like 32-33.
Ill take 40 a game.

MemberHave not seen enough of Shelley, but I got to say, he seems much more cool and collected when passing the ball then Huntley.
If Shelley is able to take us to the Rose Bowl all bets are off on who should start next year.

InactiveNo. That’s not true. Tyler starts. Tyler needs to chill and let the game come to him a bit more. He needs to be more judicious in using his feet to get yards, be more patient in letting the play develop. He needs to give the damn ball to the RB way more often. But he’s your QB.

ParticipantShelley is stalling in the redzone. Factors very similar to last years Huntley. If it is Shelley OR TT idk he is going to figure it out Saturday. Highest scoring game of the year BOOK IT!

ParticipantIMO if Shelley plays well enough in the ccg to even get to the Rose bowl, then he earned the start.
Also recall how Huntley struggled 2-3 games after coming back from his injury last year.

ParticipantGood point. Honestly? I trust the coaches. Whoever runs out there I will know they outplayed whoever is on the sidelines.

ParticipantNot sure Huntley would get much practice in before the bowl game. What is it, 15 extra practices? Not sure where in that time Tyler would be able to start taking snaps though. I’m guessing he’d need some time to work off any rust.

ParticipantThey were floating the idea back when he injured it. I broke my collar bone and it took around 5 weeks to be able to run properly.
