Trax option: 21st south 2nd west. There’s usually always parking there, even if you have to use the lot east of the rails. Don’t park in the lot west of Trax, they will tow! (Or, use any Trax station further south, just catch the Red Line train.) Your game ticket* is your Trax pass for the day. Also, there will be room on the train for you, not so much as you approach RES. Usually, the last train car has the most empty space.
Trains run every 15 minutes Monday-Saturday, with several extra trains to help out. Just 22 minutes to get dropped off at the stadium. Or, go one more stop, then it’s a downhill walk to go through the Tailgate Lot on your way to the Stadium. (say hello to Tony!)
* I found out UU and Trax have a deal going, where UU gives UTA 25 cents for every ticket sold. That’s why Trax is ‘free’ on game days. Look for the UTA/Trax symbol on your ticket. If you are going to pick up your game ticket at the stadium, I imagine being dressed in red would satisfy the UTA cops.
We almost always ride trax to the game. We sit in the stadium for 25 minutes after the game to avoid the crowd leaving after the game. The first few trains are packed full. There is a bus option after the game that takes you to the Courthouse stop. You can catch Blue and Green trains there. The bus is on the street just west of the TRax station at the stadium.
