My friend’s son played Army FB in the late 80s. His son’s take: Last year when Army took Oklahoma to OT, Oklahoma did Army a favor by staying in a 5 man front the entire game. Army runs a 3-4, so Army O practices against a 5 man front. He says OK should have gone 4 or 6 to confuse the blocking angles, etc. Also OK made a couple of bone head plays on O that kept Army in game. This year’s team does not have the O line that last years did, which he calls the best Army O line in decades. Also, everything is predicated on the fullback dive, and the 2 best fullbacks graduated. He was not impressed with OK D last year, but has always liked Harbaughs since he got to U of M. His predication U Of M 35, Army 10.
