        Grinch got Wazzu to play Defense.  If he could get the cougars to get stops, he’ll be able to do even better at USC.

          Hercules Mata’afa made that defense work. It’s telling that Grinch has run the same scheme at Ohio State, Oklahoma and SC without anywhere near the success.

      Probably not, he retained Grinch. Lincoln doesn’t know how to field a good defense, despite having immense talent. It was a major problem at Oklahoma and it carried over to USC. I’ll believe it when I see it.
