        Per Steve Bartle, he’s being recruited as a DE with NFL potential. Surprising to say the least.

      It’s going to be interesting to see how he reacts and responds when he gets here…he can play all 3 at a D1 level. If he adds weight which they think he will he probably outgrows the LB spot quickly. If he’s like Mata’afa and struggles to do so he might still end up at LB.
      There are still other high quality LB’s in play that we’re chasing so it’s probably smart to list him as a DE right now as well. Either way this guy will be a 4 star recruit after a ratings bump provided he plays his HS season. This is a big get and Jaylon Johnson’s success here had a large part in him coming out of nowhere to become a Ute.

        Any insight on where Utah projects Lander Barton to play? Does he outgrow the LB spot too? Or can you not comment?

  Welcome to Utah! Really happy for this kid, but honestly, I’m happy for any person who gets to leave Fresno and go somewhere else.
