      Harlan announced that the athletic department will be hiring a Chief Revenue Officer. He/she will be looking for every opportunity to increase revenue and work with the Collective on NIL money. This allows the coaches to coach. I am glad that Whitt will not need to worry about NIL. We already have a GM of football and now we will have a revenue officer.

      On another subject, Harlan said he is not sure that they will increase football scholarships (can now be 105) because of Title 9 issues. It is tough to match 105 scholarships with women’s scholarships. That’s a lot of women’s teams, not to mention that there are a lot of other men’s programs.

      Whitt mentioned they had also hired a Chief of Staff or somesuch title that was going to help the GM with personnel issues, presumably related to NIL. He said his org chart is getting closer to the NFL and that’s what is now needed.
