Yes @larryb the way it works in vegas is that if you were to bet on Utah, you would “give up” 3 points. SO the starting score of the game, before it starts is Utah -3, Oregon 0. So if you were to bet on Oregon, you would “get” 3 points. So let’s say Utah wins 90-88. If you bet on Utah you would lose, because 90-3 = 87. Conversely if you bet on Oregon, you’d win because 88+3=91.
FWIW, the article was written Tuesday so it’s unlikely the author knew about the USC result.
The ESPN rating accounted for last night’s game already and it looks like the NCAA has now updated theirs for games through last night. The USC win over UCLA bumped Utah up to 60.
