      1. IMO, Utah football is and always has been built as an under the radar underdog program, and has never been a program playing as the favorites. I see they crumble under the pressure of being favorites. In games they’ve lost and should have won, appears to zap the team’s confidence and has a psychological affect on them. Its like a stain on a mattress it seems they can never fully recover, especially in games they are overwhelming favorites.

      2. As much as some don’t think recruiting star power doesn’t make a difference, I think it does make a difference. Whitt was able to compete with the bluebloods over the years, but that will only take you so far. If he’s able to recruit 4-star talent across the board at all positions I believe that can be a significant difference maker, for example having two Cam Rising’s deep. Just my two cents.

      3. Whitt’s kryptonite or Achilles heel has been the QB position. I think he’s handled the “game time decision” the past two years very poorly thinking he could use it as leverage and gain an advantage to win games keeping opponents guessing. If that was his game plan with Rising, as we see, that’s not working anymore and tells me he has no backup plans. I believe that in itself has impacted the team as a whole and the fanbase Whitt playing with people’s emotions, especially the team not realizing how that affects his own players ability to perform on the field.

      4. Rising has been out too long since last year to expect him to come in and at least kickstart the team to what we know they are capable of.

      5. Some c**ky arrogant Utah fans on social media should be eating crow since two Saturday’s ago for running their mouths that Utah runs the Big12. I wish they would just STFU and let the team show it/prove it on the field and let the results speak for themselves.

      6. Current record now is, 4-2. Not bad, but CFP berth foregone conclusion. Big12 CCG, 20%-30% chance at this point, but still possible. Utah would have to win out and no more losses, and other teams would have to lose at least 2 or 3 games.

      7. Finally, I think Whitt has reached his ceiling as Utah’s head coach. It was a great 20 year run for him, but now he should ride out into the sunset post season. When that happens, I expect Utah’s program to take a hit competing in the Big12 as Scalley is the heir apparent to take the reins and could take years to show some level of success if he’s even able to do that. Who knows, go UTES!

When the local media and Ute-centric reporters are openly making fun of the “game time decision”, you know you’ve lost the thread.
