Utah softball faces #3 Oregon this weekend.

Utah is ranked #11 in the country (21-5, 3-0 in conference), and has beat several top 15 teams (including sweeping #10 UCLA last week). Oregon is undefeated (27-0, 3-0 in conference), and got 5 first place votes in the most recent USA Today poll. This is obviously a huge weekend for the ladies, and they get the Ducks at home. This is the first time this season Utah will be playing a home game. I like their chances, and if they can take 2 out of 3 they likely vault into the top 10, and maybe even top 5.

If I knew the season would shape up this way I honestly would have planned on taking a trip up there for this. Bummer, but please try to make a game or two if you have any interest at all. They deserve our support.

Do you have times? We will be in SLC tomorrow for the practice (weather permitting) and maybe hitting the game afterwards would be fun.

Hopeful Viramontes is healthy. She was pulled from the TDS game during the 3rd inning.
