The Utes (14-0) are third in the country in scoring, are off to the second-best start in program history and rank No. 5 in the NET after being picked fifth in the Pac-12 preseason coaches’ poll. espn.com article
Unfortunately I think this is extremely unlikely to happen, but still fun to dream. We will definitely take some lumps going through a tough Pac-12 schedule. My hope is that we can pull out enough wins to stay a 4-seed and get to host the first two rounds of the tournament.
PAC12 play will make us raise that bar even higher. This last tough trip to Pullman and Seattle was challenging (helped by a rather strict technical called late in the game for taunting against a Wazzou player, ref really could have stepped in and calmly but firmly said “please don’t do that again”) but we gutted out both wins. Next up the ladies visit Boulder.
Agreed. I was watching the WSU game in a bar and a neutral sitting next to me turned to me and said something like, “You guys lucked out with that taunting call.”
