Utah Women’s Basketball hosts Saint Mary’s tonight, 7p MT

The University of Utah women’s basketball program hosts its third straight home contest on Tuesday when they host Saint Mary’s of the WCC at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. MT.

The game against Saint Mary’s will have a live video stream and live stats provided on UtahUtes.com. Fans can also tune into ESPN700 and listen to play-by-play.

The Utes are a perfect 8-0 in program history against Saint Mary’s in four home games and four road games. Utah won the last meeting on December 2, 2017 by a score of 74-63.

The Utes have started the season 2-0 after winning just five games last season. The Utes opened the season with back-to-back 100-point games. This is only the second time in program history that Utah scored 100 or more in back-to-back times. The first time this happened was during the 1978-79 season.

They have looked much improved compared to last year in their first two games, scoring over 100 points both games and shooting over 40% on threes. Turnovers down significantly, improved defense and really moving the ball on offense, shooters everywhere. I don’t think they’ll likely challenge for the Pac-12 title, but they’re really fun to watch and could surprise some folks if they keep playing this way.
