This morning I renewed the domain registration for UteHub.com, which made me realize that on this day NINE YEARS AGO, Ute Hub was born! What a great ride it has been so far. Thanks to all of you fine users who participate in the discussion boards and provide great content and entertainment. Special thanks to all the users who donate during the fundraisers. Without you, all the work I do would be meaningless.

As always I welcome input. Please feel free to send me constructive criticism, feature suggestions, bug reports, ideas, and so forth.

You do an awesome job with the site. It’s the best Utah site on the web. We need to continue to get more Ute fans on the board. The challenge is doing that without it turning into what Utah Twitter has become.

I remember clearly everyone saying that a new community and site were needed to host a more balanced and welcoming Utah fan community. I am not sure if you knew what you were getting into when you accepted the challenge, but since that first day it went live it has been such a massive improvement. I am grateful to have been along for the ride, and for all you have done for the site. It has met all of the hopes that so many of us were asking for, and more. Can’t wait to see where it goes next. Thanks again Tony for being crazy enough to undertake the challenge.

There really are some excellent members here. There are even members that I will search out their predictions because I respect their opinion so much. We’ve had a few “off” moments, but that’s both normal and somewhat healthy. If you want group-think, there’s another board run by TDS fans that you can visit. I like both the super optimistic posters and the sky-is-falling posters (they keep me grounded). I like to think I’m a realist: if the average predict the score is 45-10 for the Utes, my prediction will be 32-21. This is what you get from becoming a Utah football fan in the 80’s (we’re permanently scarred). So THANK YOU, Tony, for keeping this engine running. I look forward to the day the site crashes because so many people want to jump on to celebrate our Big Ten invite.
