A really strong last two days have lifted the Utes to the brink of the NCAA championship. We got off to a slow start in the slalom on Wednesday and ended the day in 4th. But we were outstanding in Thursday’s nordic classic and today’s giant slalom and we’ve shot out to a 417-382 lead over 2nd place.
Here’s the rub: Last year we were up by a similar margin going into the last day, and we lost the natty by half a point to Colorado, who was in 2nd place. Guess who’s in 2nd place this year? Yep…Colorado.
Let’s hope this year turns out differently and we bring home the natty tomorrow!
