      Our Utes picked to take second in the South.  USC got the vast majority of first-place votes.

      Can’t blame anyone for picking Utah #2 in a year where we play @ USC.

      I noted some items in the preseason picks. There has been a lot of discussion about our OL but only Utah and ASU have two of the 10 preseason picks. Our bevy of TEs with Kuithe at the top could be motivated to top the two preseason picks in front of them. We don’t know who is our RB1, when we get that will he be a top conference back?
      USC and ASU each have two DL in the picks vs a single for Utah, but as a DL group I think Utah has an opportunity to be the top group. No team has two of the top LBs, can Utah be the team to get two in and the end? Oregon, USC and ASU each have two DBs, Utah did not get represented – will Utah be able to change that by the end of the year.

      Media likes persistence as a “forecast”.   2nd preseason pick, “We Try Harder”, like Avis.
