Going back in history of the Utes offense Whitt will run Vaki to the ground and he will get injured. Fix the O line and get some better play calls. vaki is great don’t run him to the ground. Get a freshman RB in there and get going. If JJ is hurt. Start the first play on offense with a long bomb. Let’s stop trying to trick teams and running up the middle on first and second downs. Pass the ball! 900 yards passing after 6 games is sorry stuff.

Not sure what data you’re basing this off of. This year in regards to injuries is the anomaly of anomalies. Hell our kicker got hurt in warm ups. Bernard wasn’t football related and Curry wasn’t from any contact and it was his healthier leg.

Vaki is to valuable on defense. Cal is not USC. USC spreads the field and the defensive backfield has more space to cover. He will get worn out on D. Ludwig surprised Cal but USC will be ready.

With Bishop out the first half we need him to play well. Richie is going to get tested early. He can certainly help on offense which we need but I think it’s asking too much of him.

I know Weddle did it. New Mexico is a far cry from USC. Dammed if you do dammed if you don’t. Tough call.

Never judge an OL if the offense is predictable. Don’t compare them to other OLs that are not predictable. They absolutely count on the advantage of knowing run or pass in the first second or two while the DL does not. If you are not sure, visit practice and watch the difference when the play is called out for both to hear. The OL will naturally be better as this aspect improves.

Good point Charlie. It’s amazing how much better the O line becomes with a few completed passes.
