Utah is getting a lot of positive publicity this week and will get a lot more this Saturday morning. All of this is great for the program and should give us a boost in recruiting.
I think most high school kids think they could play both ways in college.
That play where Vaki plants both feet, comes to a complete stop, then runs around half the USC defense into the endzone, is one of the most outrageous plays I have ever seen from a Utah player. He’s stout enough to play linebacker, but he’s quick like Covey.
Don’t laugh, but if Vaki continues to play like this through the remaining games of the season, he’s going to get some Heisman votes. Someone on The Athletic’s Heisman watch already gave him one after last weekend’s game.
