Wilson’s MustacheParticipant
I’m starting to get the feeling that Colorado is about to be exposed for a fraud. Everyone keeps talking about how great their defense is but they really haven’t played anyone with a great offense. Even Oregon’s offense was struggling at that point in the season.
Probably their most impressive performance has come in a L to USC & if you watched that game it was baffling that Colorado managed to keep it close. USC racked up 548 yards of offense including 358 passing yards from Darnold. It was only the 4 USC turnovers that kept it close.
Colorado has played multiple teams at their worst including Oregon & ASU, Stanford & UCLA (all missing starting QBs or current starters) they’ve looked absolutely dreadful in their games against UCLA & Stanford, despite wins, and they’ve only averaged ~350/gamge on offense the last three games.
Colorado’s turn around has been remarkable, but I think the magic ends tomorrow.
Washington is a near complete team & I don’t see Colorado’s offense being able to keep up.

We’re on the same page, which means I can’t close the gap between you and I in the Pick Em standings.

Colorado is a strong team statistically. They are top 20 I’m most advanced metrics. Solid team across and their offense is dangerous. I think they win because they are at home.
Hoping for a cu win because that means a top 10 matchup next weekend. And, if we both win, usc is eliminated from the south. And If our loss in Boulder leads to usc winning the south I will be sick.

Seems to be an unpopular opinion but I am rooting for WSU. With no chance to win the south, Colorado will be demoralized against Utah. I prefer this to a hyped up Colorado in Boulder. I don’t care if that means USC could win it. I’m selfish like that.

I go back and forth between wanting a big matchup and wanting CU demoralized.
I don’t think there’s much chance of it being a top 10 matchup. There’s only two teams above us with much chance at all of losing and one of them is Colorado. The other is Oklahoma but they’re playing a one loss WVU who would almost certainly jump over us with a win over OU.
Also, I’m not sure if Louisville will fall below us. I think our ceiling this week is 10 with a Colorado loss or 11 otherwise. We may stay at 12 even with a big win. As a matter of fact USC might even jump us. Should they? No, but they are a big name program and are getting a helluva lot of buzz lately.

Oops. I forgot about Oklahoma State. That’s a team we could pass.

I’m with Stache and WestSlope, I don’t think CU has what it takes to win this game. I prefer CU winning because I don’t think they will handle the pressure of a winner take all game at home against us. It seems like you need to s**t the bed a time or two before you get over the hump. We have s**t that bed a few times now and I think we will outperform them in a pressure game.
But we must win today, Go Utes!
