When you don’t have receivers, problems occur. I know our D line isn’t what it used to be… but we have a QB that can usually sling it, minus today, and no people to catch passes on the regular besides Kincaid and Vele… we need to address this in the future after we address giving up 42 to UCLA…
Which receiver didn’t cover an 8 yard crossing route so that it could turn into a backbreaking TD?
Which receiver, when the defense should finally have gotten a critical stop committed a stupid roughing the passer to extend the drive?
Which receiver was responsible for the gaping holes that allowed Charbonnet to go 30+ yards before he got touched?
That loss was on the Defense. Rising played well but made a couple of critical mistakes. But you don’t give up 42 points and blame the receivers.
Man .. receivers would be close to the bottom of things to pick on today .. scalley .. defensive .. and the kicking game are way more glaring in my opinion
Don’t get me wrong , that drop pass by yassmin was a key play and outside of Vele our receivers aren’t anything special . But today , defense got exposed and our weak kicking game showed it usually self. Our coaches have become to complacent
Dline and LBs are not good. The loss of Tafua, Lloyd and Sewell is proving bigger than I thought. Utes have big issues at LB with talent and depth, no real LB depth in training other than Barton.
Well, receivers has long been a point of weakness for the team. And it is an area where they need to improve. But if you think today’s loss had anything to do with our receivers, I don’t know what game you were watching…
