      If Daniels chooses UCLA, it might not have anything to do with the “vibes” at Utah.

      It depends on wgat your definition of “paid” is. The better question to ask is “what forms of compensation(monetary/non-monetary) did they receive?”

      There was a scandal of them using an outside “recruiting service” but I don’t think there were allegations of illegal player compensation.

      I remember the first year we played up there we happened to be staying in the team hotel. At about 6 am a coach showed up and dumped a whole pile of Nike’s in the hallway and the players came out and sorted through them taking what they wanted. I am assuming that happened every game.
