I could have never guessed that a THREE loss Utah team would be ranked in the top 10(ish)–ahead of two-loss Oklahoma and three-loss Clemson, would win the Pac 12 champtionship by defeating a top-10 Oregon team twice by nearly 60 points combined, and would be playing The Ohio State in the Rose Bowl.
I recall speaking with someone who played for the team many years ago. He predicted an “ok” year, with like 6-7 wins. He looked spot through the first part of the season. Wow, how things have changed.
This may not be the best team in Utah football history by record or rank, but it is certainly the most resilient. They believe they are playing for something more than football glory, and it shows.
