What about this weekend’s playbook switch-a-roo? Certainly fuels hope… but feels a bit to me like a desperate “I don’t know what to do” move. (Hope not) Is Bajakian the answer for this offense? Maybe. Hope so. Or is he just an intern guy. Who knows? Whitt has closed most of the communication doors with the fans and media. We’ll see. Maybe we’ll get a little more clarity than we are used to.
Really hoping for a quick turnaround especially for the players!
I think this was the only move that could be made. If something is clearly not working, at some point you have to admit that and then change what you are doing. Does this mean what you do next will definitely work? No. Not at all. But, at least there is a chance it will work, in contrast to continuing with something you know won’t work.
At this point I am hopeful the offense can improve enough to win two more games and get bowl eligible to get the extra practices especially for Isaac as the future. That is where my expectations are.
I think the main goals for this year are about 4 weeks behind us at this point. So changing some stuff up and seeing what happens with some change won’t really make things worse. After last week I saw us winning maybe 1 more game…with this change I don’t think that changes…and if it does how much worse can it be? let him have his shot.
Probably not much. You don’t transform your team on October 20 something. This systemic failure is multifaceted (some of the problems are still on staff) and years in the making. Whitt’s been pushing this one down the road like a dung beetle for a good long while and he finally found the downhill.
I hope for the team to be energized, that’s the best and most impactful change we can make at this stage.
