LOL.. I meant what changes would you make to the football program to overcome the November hurdle we keep facing every year. But I guess that’s what you get when you’re ambiguous.
A win on Saturday would go a long way towards curing the blues. A gameplan tailored to Shelley’s strength. The team being visibly excited and rallying around Shelley. A return to defensive dominance. Daniels signing.
I would change the Pac-12 conference schedule to 8 games and then schedule like the SEC does. A mid-season bye week coupled with a crappy G5 team in late Oct. and an FCS team in Nov. would probably solve our November issues real quick.
If they cut it to 8 why can’t they just rotate one division opponent a year that you don’t have to play. This way everyone gets access to California games every season. For instance Utah doesn’t have to play ASU. One less road game or something.
I think if you go to 8 games you just cut out an oppenent from the opposite division. So this year would be Stanford, UW, & Oregon for Utah. Just cut out one of the “travel” partners. I do think going to 8 games is the answer, but the Cali schools all want to play each other each year which kind of screws things up.
Not going to happen because the North Schools don’t want to give up on their annual road games against the California schools. They use them to recruit players, and said reasons are why they came up with the division format they did in the first place.
