No kidding. Just tuned in to see what SJSU looks like and had to do a double take at the score. 16 – 0 Spartans.
I suppose a couple of factors at play here could be that USF is playing on the opposite coast, and that kind of travel often has a big impact on the road team. More importantly, they have a new HC in Charlie Strong. Then again, maybe SJSU is just really improved.
Most teams are affected traveling West to East coast. The time change has an effect on the body for day games, but night game from East to West coast? USF is overrated.
Well, they’ve come on strong during the 2nd quarter. USF now leads 21-16, so whatever it was it seems they are overcoming it or the Spartans have come back to reality.
Okay, so during the 2nd quarter they gave it to them: going for it on 4th down and not making it, poor throws leading to interceptions, poor tackling, etc.
USF looks like they woke up as well
That sure changed the overall view of the game. SJSU had actually looked good during the first quarter and during the second they just looked inept.
