That idiot coach Nicky R setting terrible example to his team by being an ant vaxer.
Utes scheduled to play Wazzu at home September 25th.
Hopefully fans will be attending and the Utes will be playing a football game.
But at some point, I expect WAZZU will miss a game and forfeit.

In Isreal the country is 93% vaxed….They have a big outbreak. CDC just posted the phizer vaccine is only 42% effect against the delta variant, Maderna 72%. How many baseball/football/NBA players who are Vaxed have come down with break tru cases? Please not saying dont get Vaxed. Just saying especially with this variant you have a 58% chance of being positive if you have Phizer vaccine.

What exactly is your argument here?
I am honestly not certain if you are being satirical or serious (seemingly intentional misspellings, etc).
Your facts/figures seem fine, but 42% is still better than 0%. This doesn’t even take into account the vaccine’s alleged affect of reducing the severity of the infection, should you happen to get infected.
The reality is, the more people that take appropriate precautions, the less likely the football season will be affected by the virus.

the former political posters there have made their home here unfortunately.

Actually, we should get prepared for COVID politics to weave their way thru sports this fall. Sadly, it has become one of the key elements for coaches to manage and possibly can be key in determining division champs. I wish it was over already.

Trying to understand how this post is political? Is it impossible to mention anything about Vaccines or COVID-19 without it being politically motivated? This is a MAJOR problem in this country and it’s stupid!
Everyone should be concerned with the current trajectory of the pandemic with its potential impacts on games and fan attendance at those games.

Agree. I think the OP has a valid point. This season games will happen and if a team can’t field enough players, they will forfeit.

It truly would be delicious if the in-state game (for that is what it henceforth shall be known, praise be Whitt) couldn’t be played because the TDS players had a Covid outbreak and couldn’t field a team, gifting us a forfeited tenth game in a row. The cougar tears would be so sweet to the taste.

But still, how were any of these posts (other than those where the word politics were literally used) political in nature?
-
SkinyUteParticipant
It absolutely shouldn’t be, but such is reality right now.

HoosierUteParticipant
So the p12 has made it clear that league games will count as forfeits if a school cant field a team that week. What about non-conference games though? I could see a situation where one school wants to reschedule but the other just wants to take the W.

Dwight89Participant
hmmm good question and good point.
