KW said that Moss will likely play at OSU in two weeks and that Covery will likely redshirt.

Some suggest that we can beat OSU without Moss and we should rest him.  I think it is a good idea to get him “some” playing time against the Beavers.  I would not run him more than 10-15 times, but I think he needs some action before taking the field against ASU.  If they hold out Moss until the ASU game, he will have gone about a month without taking a hit.  I would rather he get some action the week before to prepare him for the hits he will get against the devils.

I think redshirting Covey is the right move.  Get him 100% before next season.

Moss and DHC are a great one two punch. It is hard because I like what every back brings. Utah has  a demand for too many snaps. Moss needs to start getting reps and used to contact.

I thought DHC ran with a violence that we haven’t seen in the past. Is was there, but not the same intensity. In the 4th quarter the announcers we surprised at the ferocity of the “little back”

I like using all the RBs with Moss as the #1. It takes wear and tear off of him. Also, you never know what style a defense will struggle with until you try it. It adds complexity to defensive plans.

Hopefully the Utes won’t need Moss at OSU, but probably hard to tell a guy like Moss to sit if he feels ready.

No inside knowledge but my guess is covey is done with football.
