Here in Orlando. Thought we would be playing for a championship birth tonight. Instead, here to see the end of an era potentially. My frustration for this season is in the past. Hoping to cheer on the Utes one last time to victory.
Been reminiscent of the Whittingham era of Utah football. When was Kyle at the peak of his career from a brand and national respect stand point?
For me that date was October 28, 2023.
Here was Whitt coming off of two back to back Pac 12 championships.
Utah had gone to the Coliseum the week before and beat the Heisman trophy winner with the “pig farmer”. The national media was gushing over Utah and coach Whitt. Sitting at 6-1 ranked 13th in the nation, Game Day comes to SLC again and Kyle rides up on a Harley. He owned the world at that moment.
Well we all know what happened that afternoon. Things have not been the same since.
But given how unfortunate this season has been, we have been just a play or two away from flipping the script in every game minus CU.
