Am I wrong in thinking him saying “Everything’s up in the air right now. Everything’s up for evaluation, and we will evaluate.” is very un-Whitt like? And those comments coupled with “Very proud of the defense, with absolutely no help, they held their own.” I usually think things will stay status quo with our program but it feels different after hearing him last night. Especially the “with absolutely no help.” part.

Did you notice the “whitt face twitch” when he said everything’s up for evaluation?

Yeah. He’s definitely feeling all this. And he’s as stoic as they come.

Problem is the timing. Nothing significant can change this week. After that, you’ve got another bye and then the parochial school. That’s where any changes will be seen, providing Whitt doesn’t decide the answer is that the team just isn’t physical enough and gets more kids injured in practice.

I feel like the re-evaluations could signal a change in the offense to be built around Isaac. they need to take practice to not just take snaps from the 1s, but mold the offense into how Isaac can handle it. he’s young, he’s shown he can take off, the only thing I can see is that Ludwig is calling “Cam-based” plays and Isaac needs to learn to drop back quicker and be twitchier in the pocket. it all needs to be evaluated and regroup (even though it’s only a week, but also throughout the rest of the season) because it’s not necessarily a coaching problem, but more of a how do we embrace and help HIM, QB1, thrive in a game situation. He has an arm, he showed accuracy, so let’s reevaluate the line, let’s look at who can be versatile in blocking, sub in and out more, give guys that might be on the sideline the opportunities to harness some of their skillsets to specific plays and series. Just my thoughts.
