Who can return in 2025-26?

OK, I’m not sure who has anymore eligibility for next year due to the extra Covid year and the transfer rule being overturned, so I thought this would be a good topic of discussion.

Still have eligibility:
-Ausar
-Dawes
-Keller
-Little
-Sharavjamts
-Traore
-Wahlin
-Erickson (JUCO ruling?)

Out of eligibility:
-Lohner
-Lovering
-G Madsen
-M Madsen

Please correct these where they are wrong.

Unless they’ve retroactively changed the rules, appearing in 1 game burns a year of eligibility (unless it is an exhibition), so Madson is a probable no. Erickson would gain a year because of a recent ruling exempting JC years. As in another thread, I don’t see how Lovering would be able to come back.

Has the NCAA adopted the JUCO extra eligibility for all players yet?

I don’t think they have. I think it was only applicable (for now) for that one football player.

Oh Lovering is done after this year? Makes sense, I just thought he got the covid year. But I guess he was a year late for that.

Too bad, id love to have Law back next year.

So Law and Lohner are definitely gone. Sounds like the Madsens are, too.

Maybe not set in stone yet, but I think with the record the NCAA has in courts of law people just assume that a precedent is set and away we go. Sounds like Smith thinks Erickson could get another year. Here’s a link that sorta tells what’s going on.
