I don’t think there is a mystery here. Who knows what school or offense Zach prefered when he was being recruited out of HS. We do know Utah had a higher rated QB committed and did not go after Zach. As time passed, it became clear that the rating system was wrong as were most all coaches. The Y was down the line and took Zach in turn in the pecking order that was available to them. Zach was better than projected, I expect that he would have been happy to be moved up in the pecking order as he deserved, and very likely would have played at a better school. I expect that Utah would have been his choice if they would have gone after him. As for Isaac, he is spotted higher in the pecking order, like Zach deserved. It does not supprise me that the two can both spot a better opportunity and do not simply limit this opportunity to the only options that were available to Zach. Best of wishes to Isaac, double since he picked Utah. It will become even more interesting later on when Zach attends a Utah home game or bowl game to be with his family and watch his little brother play. Even the Whittinghams are a family that made a transition when a great opportunity presented itself. It is more fun on the benefited side than the side with a loss and it can go both ways.
