This is a freakshow and it will be interesting to see how she goes over in New York especially if Wilson ends up sucking in the NFL.
Welp. Somehow, the New York Jets just got the female version of LaVar Ball, but even worse….Good luck.https://t.co/KjU9GsobDt

His mom made me glad Utah passed on him.

Make no mistake, college coaches take things like this into account when deciding who to recruit, offer, etc.
-

This is so true. My son is in the recruiting process right now, and the coaches are trying to find out more about my wife and I than they are about my son, I think. They practically want film of my wife and I watching games.

You know what, maybe dealing with the NY media will be easy after dealing with this mom his whole life. As a parent: Just let your kid go win or fail on his own, don’t be the one bringing him down or adding extra stress to already sky high expectations.

Who knows, Zach might really be good. But I think it’s more likely he’s an NFL bust and mommy can’t change that.
Wilson’s break out season was against teams like UTSA, Western Kentucky, and Northern Alabama. He didn’t play against one P5 team last year. He was hot garbage against real P5 defenses like UW or the Utes.

I agree 100%.
What’s confusing the sh(& out of me is what did the NFL Scouts see that we didn’t. There is no question that without pressue the kid can throw the ball, really well in fact. But I have yet to see him throw it good under pressure. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong, or maybe not.

UteThunderParticipant
I think they see a QB with a ton of skill who just needs “their coaching” to bring it all together at the NFL level. Maybe they are right, maybe they are wrong. I will say this, he played consistently better against G5 teams this past year than he did either of the years before. So maybe that trend progression is good enough for the scouts.

pedroParticipant
I don’t necessarily disagree with your assesment, but that is a huge, multi-million dollar gamble. But what do they care, it’s the fans who end up paying for it.

A couple of things:
1. I am so glad that my mom (rip) was nothing like her.
2. She seems to be living through her son and goes ballistic if anyone questions his ability.
3. In the end – The NY press will eat her alive.

What could go wrong? LOL

What an embarrassment.

I read everyone else’s comments before clicking on the link and watching the videos. I’ve gotta say, I’m confused. I expected to see something really bad.
Other than putting too many of her thoughts and too much of her life out there, what is wrong with what she posted?
-
ProudUteParticipant
I was not responding to the video. I was responding to her past tweets. If I was Zach, I would politely ask mom to shut the hell up and just let me play.
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
I’m the same as ProudUte. It’s her entire body of social media work since her son went to BYU that soured me on her. Not this particular tweet.

I wish the kid well but his mom seems headed for her own reality show.

Yep… being a Yankee fan, I have a front row seat to this when I’m reading the New York newspaper posts. Needless to say it has been very interesting to watch the worm turn.
